Description:

Water and wastewater operators often have tasks that include the monitoring of complex water quality parameters, preparation of state forms, and analysis of financial information, just to list a few items that deal with a lot of numbers and sometimes calculations. This class will introduce you to Microsoft Excel and fundamental techniques to help you obtain critical information from the data you have collected and to be able to distill this information so that it may be provided to others.

Introduction to navigating in Microsoft Excel
Organizing your data into fields
Copying and pasting data
Creating worksheets within a workbook
Performing calculations and creating formulas (starting with basic and working up to some higher order calculations)
Cell and worksheet references
Conditional formatting
Graphing
Plus some other tips and tricks of the trade!
