Description: Rutgers Cooperative Extension (RCE) of Cape May County Family and Community Health Sciences and Agriculture and Natural Resources Programs will present the virtual workshop, Eat What You Grow-Squash, on Thursday, August 6, 2020. The free presentation will take place at 5:30 p.m. via Webex.
The program will be presented by RCE of Cape May County’s Chris Zellers, FCHS Educator/Assistant Professor and Jen Sawyer, ANR County Program Associate for Commercial Agriculture. Topics will include: Growing various squash, Trouble shooting squash growing and Health benefits and tips on enjoying squash.

Zellers and Sawyer have teamed up to explain how to grow and enjoy your own squash. In this second program of the 2020 series, Eat What You Grow, they will explain how to trouble shoot squash growth in your garden and enjoy the benefits of its nutrition. Zellers said, “Summer squash is a beautiful summer treat that is packed with vitamins and supports the body’s ability to function properly”.
