Cape May County 4-H and the Whinny Pigs 4-H Club will host a book signing with author Sarah Maslin Nir on Sunday, April 2nd from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event is open to the public and all 4-H Clubs. It will take place at the 4-H Lockwood Youth Center, 355 Court House – South Dennis Road, CMCH, NJ 08210.
Maslin Nir is a staff reporter for the New York Times and the author of the new Once Upon a Horse series of children’s books, featuring true stories from across the equestrian world. Book 1, The Flying Horse, came out in March 2023. She is also the author of the adult nonfiction book, Horse Crazy, the story of a Woman and a World in love with an animal that was published in 2020.
Julianne Schalick, Cape May County Whinny Pigs 4-H Club Leader, said, “We are excited to welcome Sarah who is not only an accomplished author, but also rides hunters competitively and shares the love of horses with many of our 4-H’ers.”
The cost to attend this event is either a donation for a light brunch or $20 which includes brunch and a copy of the book, The Flying Horse. Purchase of a book is not required to attend this event.
