Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Cape May County Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources presents, “Basics of Beekeeping,” on Thursday, April 27, 2023 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Rutgers Cooperative Extension, 355 Courthouse – South Dennis Road, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.
The presenter will be Nick Pinizzotto, 3rd Vice President, Jersey Cape Beekeepers Association. Attendees will learn Honeybees’ role in agriculture and horticulture, how honey is made, and ways to support the honeybees.
Pinizzotto is a beekeeper who lives in Pittsgrove, NJ where he tends approximately 10 hives on his family farm. He actively participates in outreach programs helping to educate the public and create awareness about the honeybee’s important role in agriculture and horticulture.
This is a beginner class; therefore, no experience is needed. The cost to attend this presentation is $5 and light refreshments will be provided. Registration required at: https://go.rutgers.edu/h08sqjna.
