Speaker:

Laura Henne, NJDEP

Description:

The purpose of this program is to provide background on the New Jersey Pollution Prevention Act (N.J.S.A. 13:1D-35 et. seq.) and regulations (N.J.A.C. 7:1K et.seq.) to maintain compliance. You will be given a refresher on the Pollution Prevention Planning process, including specific guidance on materials accounting, units of production, and total cost accounting. You will learn how to fill out the P2 Plan Summary and P2 Progress Report. The more straightforward alternative (the P2-115 Form) to completing Section Cs and Ds of the P2 Progress Report will also be covered. Those facilities that are required to report at least one form R to the Federal TRI program are also covered by the P2 Planning requirements. Even if a facility reports on only one TRI chemical on a Form R, a plan must be prepared for all TRI chemicals used in quantities over NJ threshold.
