Thousands of businesses generate hazardous waste each and every day – from auto shops to pharmaceutical companies, manufacturing facilities, schools, and everything in between. It is important for employees to be aware of the federal and state requirements for handling and disposing of these wastes. They should also understand how the amount of waste they are generating can change how those requirements impact their operations. Violations of all types can lead you down the road to fines and other negative impacts – and not knowing is not a viable explanation!
