Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Cape May County Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources will host the workshop, “Rain Barrels and Water Conservation,” on Friday, April 25, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Lockwood 4-H Youth Center, 355 Courthouse - South Dennis Road, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210. The presenter will be Courtney Lacombe, AmeriCorps NJ Watershed Ambassador for Watershed Management Area 16. The Program is dedicated to promoting watershed stewardship through free educational programming and direct community involvement through partnership projects.
This workshop will discuss how to build a rain barrel including the construction, installation, and maintenance of rain barrels. Rain barrels can help protect our watersheds by reducing runoff, conserving water, and controlling pollution. Participants in this workshop will get to build their own rain barrels to take home with them.
